What’s Next For Baby Boy Fashion?

There are many different aspects to take into consideration when deciding on the contents of your baby boy's wardrobe. Trends are always changing, luckily so is the size of your child making it easy to follow trends as your baby grows and the seasons change.

It’s important to understand you’re not forced to follow trends, you’re free to dress your baby in whatever makes you and them happy. Whether you opt for brightly coloured character clothing or softer-toned knits, as long as your baby is dressed for the weather and is comfortable that’s what matters.

However, if you do want to follow trends we’re here to give you our advice on what types of clothing we see being popular in Spring/Summer 2023.

baby wearing light blue knitted cardigan

Little knitted cardigans are ideal for spring days or summer evenings. Styled with fresh white rompers or short dungarees for a classic yet stylish look. If you size up a little they may even see you through to those early autumn days when you need to start layering up.

Rompers are the perfect summer wardrobe staple. They’re an outfit all in one. Take the stress out of your morning routine by not having to find a matching top and bottoms.

The romper pictured above is a beautiful thin knit, helping to keep your little man cool on hot summer days, whilst remaining cosy and soft against his skin. If you're worried about your baby being cold in the early spring days this would look great with little white socks or booties.

Personalised lounge sets are available in a range of colours and sizes. We even stock adult sizes if you want to match. We think these are perfect sets for playing at the park or evening picnics. Teamed with white trainers for your 'mini me' toddler to run around and enjoy.

You can also mix and match the top and bottoms with other items in your boys wardrobe to increase the wearability of these pieces. We think our personalised tops look great with denim jackets and shorts.

Matching with your child is increasingly popular, from fully matching outfits to coordinating the colour palettes of you and your baby's outfits. This is a great way for mums to match with their little boys where they may have previously found it difficult to do so.

baby wearing lemon coloured sleepsuit

The colour lemon never goes out of style. This Lemon sleepsuit is adorable with a sweet elephant and bird design. The colour is fresh and bright to see your baby boy through from spring to summer.

Whilst the name suggests these are exclusively for bedtime this isn't the case. Sleepsuits make for easy, comfortable outfits for your baby, ideal for pre-walking babies.

Neutral tones will never go out of fashion. White clothing is a staple piece in all babies' wardrobes. However, we love the light blue accents on this blue and white knitted pointelle romper. Nautical vibes are a summer must, year after year we see this colourway being a huge hit.

Team this outfit with white booties and a summer hat to keep your baby protected from the sun whilst remaining fashionable all season long.

baby wearing little boat cotton sleepsuit

At Millie & Ralph, we love traditional-style Spanish clothing. Your little man will look stylish, classy, and oh-so-cute in this little boat cotton sleepsuit. We predict this style will grow in popularity throughout 2023. Following the increase in using more traditional names, we see fashion following suit.

Say goodbye to neon tops and character clothing and hello to light tones, soft fabrics, and traditionally styled outfits. Imagine tailored bloomers, white shirts, brogues and a whole load of tiny well-dressed boys.

With that being said, as previously stated if you and your baby love bright colours and character clothing then by all means dress your baby in what you believe suits them, we're sure they'll still look insanely cute.
